Le Layon

 

The river Layon meanders amongst the slopes of the Coteaux de  layon and flows into the Loire at Chalonnes.

At St Aubin de Luigné you can discover the river by small rowing boat.

You can also go fishing on the river banks -  pike being a local delicacy can be found on menus of many local restaurants.

The Town Hall

 

The town hall is housed in the old vicarage which dates back to the16th century.

Take a  tour of the old dwelling houses , and admire over thirty listed building. The tour includes the Haute – Guerche castle which can be visited freely during July and August or by appointment during the rest of the year.

The Guérin Windmill

 

In the heart of the vineyards, this old wind mill has been converted into panoramic viewpoint. The 360 ° view, presented on a ceramic viewing table, overlooks the Mauges plateau and the Layon valley.
